After many visits to Catalina I moved here in 1997, as my mother moved down Park Link Drive in 1985.  My position as
Outreach Specialist in Pinal County for The Association For Supportive Child Care had me in search of the local phone
book, community resources and business contacts for community outreach.  My search ended at the Catalina Public
Library with a copy of the "Shopping Directory", published by the "Catalina Business Association", President, Rick Frey
of Arbico-Organics.  The cover was by Turtle Woman!

That's when I met David Smith from the
Catalina Golder Ranch Village Council, as I stapled together many of the
business directories at his office.  One thing lead to another and I became the Catalina Community Development
Director for Pima Youth Partnership.  The position was great, coordinating youth programs and special events for
Catalina youth, what an excellent adventure!  After PYP I embarked upon my dream and created the Catalina
Community Business & Resource Guide, 1999-2000, it was a non-profit endeavor and a huge success!  I sold ads for $25
to pay for the printing of the guide, along with the help of Bill "Bear" Lundquist, printer at large.  It took months to
create the guide and is still one of the most fulfilling things I've ever done!

My name is Loree Dinsmore, I was born in Phoenix, AZ and grew up in Florence, AZ.  Some of you may know me from
the Oro Valley Home Depot.  Over the years and non-profits I also specialized in the design and sales of doors,
windows, cabinets and kitchen & bath.  My wonderful daughter Terra is everything to me!  She was in the second
grade when we moved to Catalina and attended Catalina Village Council Meetings with me for almost two years!  She is
my best friend, assistant, graphics specialist, personal consultant and she works at the Rancho Vistoso Walgreens as
the Senior Beauty Advisor in Cosmetics and part-time Pharmacy Tech Trainee, the cute red head!
 Update:  My baby
fell in love, moved to Mesa and I'm going to be a Grandma, omg!

Shortly after moving to Catalina I took on another part-time
position at The Eastern Pinal Literacy Council as the Area
Coordinator for the Tri-Community area.  My first idea for a
business guide became part of the annual fund raiser for the
literacy council.  The Catalina Guide I helped create was called
the "Catalina Business Directory" and had a pencil sketch of
"Talkin It Over" by T.J. Wesbrock on the cover (a cowboy and
his horse).  My director at the literacy council oversaw the
production of the first guide, as I compiled information for the
main office in Kearny to produce the guide.  TEP provided
copy services, Vista Volunteers and many helpers put together
that first copy.
Thanks to everyone for your continued support!
